LADY BUG

Are you simply there to decorate the leaf
Showing off all of your orange tones
Or is there much more to you my dear lady bug
Something I really should have known

I’ve heard it said that you spend all of your days
Eating bad bugs in my garden
And I thought you were only a pretty face
I really must beg your pardon

Get back to work my wonderful little friend
The tomatoes and I are smiling
Your secret is safe amongst the plants out there
May the bugs find you beguiling!

Recently, we "released" several hundred lady bugs into our garden.
What an amazing experience that was! And, they certainly were more than "pretty faces"! They helped control the aphids/bugs. And, that allowed us have a wonderful tomato harvest!
