Presents Under My Tree

Quietly as they sit there underneath my tree
I wonder if they know how much they mean to me
Green ribbons on red paper a snowman on the side
And, in the back seat of a car some took a nice long ride
Family brought them along and some of them were sent
Just to make sure I knew now much their love meant
Memories of my childhood rush back in my thoughts now
The times a child remembers while I sit and wonder how
Presents under the tree seem to sparkle as I stare
Wishing I could always look and find them sitting there
